Healthy, Non-Alcoholic Holiday Party Mocktails

It’s that time of year again! The holidays are coming up quick and so are all those lovely holiday parties. While this should be a time of fun, relaxation, laughter, and connection, holiday parties can often be boozy, and therefore stressful for those who are working to maintain their sobriety. 

This year, make the star of the party a delicious, healthy, non-alcoholic treat or mocktail. We’ve gathered a few of our favorite holiday recipes that are perfect to bring to a holiday party or to serve up at your own gathering.

Cranberry Spice (ala the Waldorf Astoria)

1.5 oz sparkling water
2 oz cranberry juice
4 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
2.5 oz apple cider
10 cranberries (plus additional for garnish)
Orange wedge

Directions:
Muddle the cranberries and orange wedge in cranberry juice. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir. Garnish your glasses with cranberries and orange peel, then serve over ice.

Pomegranate Rosemary “Bellini”

1 cup unsweetened 100% pomegranate juice

1 cup sugar

3 to 4 ounces seltzer

Squeeze of fresh lime juice

Whole pomegranate seeds, and slices of lime for garnish, optional

 

Directions:
In a small pot, stir together pomegranate juice and sugar. Put over medium-high heat to bring to a boil. Reduce to low and simmer for 5 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved. Pour into a jar and cool completely in the refrigerator. To assemble your bellini, pour one ounce of this syrup into a glass. Top with 3-4 ounces of seltzer. Squeeze a lime wedge into the bellini, then garnish with a lime slice or pomegranate seeds.

Cinnamon Highball Mocktail

 

15ml lime juice

5ml cinnamon syrup

30ml cloudy apple juice

Tonic Water


Directions:
Fill a highball glass with ice cubes and pour ingredients into the glass, topping with the tonic water. Stir and garnish with a cinnamon stick and a slice of apple.
